Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Los Angeles, CA. You will investigate supplier and internal non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, manage NCRs/MRBs, and drive corrective actions across receiving, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams in an aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing FAIRs to AS9102 standards, supporting ECR/ECO processes, and maintaining AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience working within AS9100 quality management systems.
• Experience completing or reviewing FAIRs to AS9102 standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills, including root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience managing NCRs, MRB activities, corrective actions, and supplier quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Investigate supplier and internal non-conformances and drive corrective/preventive actions to closure.
• Troubleshoot complex quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Review, manage, and close NCRs with proper documentation.
• Support MRB activities and dispositioning non-conforming materials.
• Manage corrective action processes for internal and supplier issues; verify effectiveness.
• Issue and support ECRs and ECOs when design/document updates are needed.
• Review engineering drawings and GD&T; interpret specifications.
• Review and approve FAIRs per AS9102 requirements.
• Generate and analyze quality metrics; monitor trends and drive improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance and collaborate to reduce defects.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes for quality/regulatory compliance.
