Job summary

Element is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in Rancho Dominguez. You will ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap, and work to enhance First Time Right and calibration processes, interacting with clients and accreditation bodies.

You will partner with the Quality Manager to implement quality policies, drive continuous improvement, and maintain relationships with aerospace primes and customers while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ideally 5 years’ experience in materials testing or a related environment.
• Experience of working in an ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap environment is a prerequisite.
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize activities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in quality investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions and ensuring effectiveness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in the quality landscape and personal development.
• Ability to identify quality and technical problems and implement sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house calibrations on measurement equipment.
• Subcontract and schedule external calibration services.
• Support maintenance and scope extension of accreditations (ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap) and Prime approvals.
• Maintain the QMS and ensure controls govern inspection and testing.
• Prioritize activities to meet business and customer needs.
• Drive a culture of Quality Assurance and improvement across laboratory operations.
• Ensure fulfillment of customer expectations through QMS implementation and communications with customers or accreditation bodies.
• Maintain and extend accreditations to support customers and competitive position.
• Assist in assessments and regulatory body visits; respond to findings per requirements.
