Job summary

Element is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support and improve the QMS, align with ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap requirements, and sustain prime relationships in the aerospace sector at the Rancho Dominguez site.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will drive First Time Right, calibrate equipment, manage audits, and help advance laboratory processes, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

Salary range listed is $70,000 to $95,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in materials testing or a related environment.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap environments is required.
• Ability to lead quality investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house calibrations on measurement equipment.
• Subcontract and schedule external calibration services.
• Maintain and extend accreditations (ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100 and Nadcap).
• Support QA/QC programs and cost-of-quality improvements.
• Assist in audits and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain the QMS and ensure effective control environments.
• Collaborate with operational teams at Rancho Dominguez.
