Job summary

GENERAL TOOL COMPANY is seeking a Quality Engineer to own quality for specific customer hardware, lead nonconformances and corrective actions, and support audits. You will review NCMRs, perform RCCA using 8D, and collaborate with production and engineering to protect customer satisfaction.

The role requires data-driven problem solving, GD&T expertise, and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continual improvement in a defense-government manufacturing setting. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of quality experience in a government or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Able to read blueprints and technical documents with confidence; strong GD&T knowledge.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in mechanical, industrial, or quality-related field preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Training in ISO 9001, AS9100, TS 16949 or related standards.

Responsibilities

• Quality owner for specific customer hardware; manage nonconformances, corrective actions, customer communications, and audit support.
• Review Nonconforming Material Reports and drive RCCA results using 8D for customers and government agencies.
• Attend pre-manufacturing meetings to anticipate issues and embed quality in production routings.
• Analyze data and develop quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and collaborate across the quality team.
