Job summary

NEXHR is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Huntsville to lead preventive quality engineering, root-cause elimination, and systemic problem-solving across the product lifecycle. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of aerospace or similar regulated-environment quality engineering experience.
• Six Sigma, CQE, or similar certification preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or political asylee/refugee

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering response for customer issues, complaints, and audits
• Drive cross-functional root cause investigations using structured methods (e.g., 8D)
• Ensure corrective actions target true systemic causes, verify effectiveness, and feed lessons learned into standard work
• Apply advanced quality tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, MSA) to analyze trends and risks
• Partner across functions to implement sustainable process improvements; represent quality in design, change, and failure reviews
• Build dashboards and KPIs to support leadership and customer decision-making
• Mentor quality engineers and drive outcomes through technical influence
