Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. in Kent, WA is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our aerospace finishing team. You will work with OEMs and suppliers to interpret specs, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve quality and reduce costs.

You will develop standards, support FAA repair authorizations, and mentor cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, AS9100/Nadcap familiarity, a Bachelors in engineering, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in aerospace manufacturing or finishing.
• AS9100 & Nadcap familiarity preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; quality certifications a plus.
• FAA Repairman Certificate and auditor training advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with OEMs and suppliers to interpret specs and drawings.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce quality costs.
• Develop and implement quality standards and processes across production.
• Support FAA Repair Station return-to-service authorizations.
• Host audits and customer visits; train teams on quality best practices.
