Job summary

TRIUMPH designs and manufactures a broad portfolio of aviation components and assemblies, seeking a Program Quality Engineer for our Macomb, MI facility. You will lead quality processes across APQP/PPAP, MRB, RCCA, and NPI initiatives, collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure compliance with AS9100D and AS13100 standards.

You will guide engineers on inspection requirements, review customer drawings, and manage PPAP/8D activities while driving continuous improvement and supplier

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• CQE/CQA/CQM or Green/Black-Belt certification desired.
• 3+ years in aerospace quality within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of metrological inspection.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to process nonconforming parts (MRB) and support audits.
• Collaborate with the TRIUMPH team on NPI requirements and cost-savings initiatives.
• Own elements for development, review, and monitoring aligned to end-customer requirements.
• Ensure customer requirements are documented and maintained in compliance.
• Provide quality interface between organization, customers and suppliers.
• Interpret/test results against engineering specs to ensure compliance.
• Review and disposition customer returns; coordinate NOEs with customer.
• Submit and close out First Article Inspection to customer.
• Guide engineers and inspectors on inspection requirements.
• Participate in APQP/PPAP and provide documentation to customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products.
• Understand design intent and manufacturing processes; evaluate CCPs and process capability.
• Support development and evaluation of process capability and process audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
