Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Melbourne, FL seeks a Specialist, Quality Engineer to support multiple programs in a 9/80 schedule. The role focuses on establishing quality plans, applying statistical controls, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with management, program offices, and engineering teams, lead corrective actions, review specifications, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and Lean/Six Sigma practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple programs and collaborate with Management, Program Office, Engineering and Test functions.
• Develop and implement program quality plans and procedures using statistical quality controls and analyses.
• Review specifications, drawings, ATPs, and WOFTs for adequacy and compliance to requirements.
• Lead corrective/preventive actions (RCCA, 8D) and participate in FRB/FAI activities.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Interpret GD&T fundamentals and assess First Article Inspections as needed.
