Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Manchester, CT seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product conformity across value streams, lead RCCA activities with suppliers, and support QMS compliance for aerospace and industrial products.

You will manage MRB processes, apply Lean/QC tools (Kaizen, 5-Why, 8D), participate in PFMEA, SPC, and develop quality standards. A Bachelor's in engineering plus 3–5+ years quality experience is required; ITAR and AS9100 experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• 3–5+ years in quality assurance, control, or operations including leadership.
• Experience with AS9100D, AS9145, ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent.
• Lean/RCCA certifications and RCCA/problem-solving expertise.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product conformity across Manchester and Columbia value streams.
• Lead investigations of customer complaints and returns with root cause analysis.
• Coordinate MRB with cross-functional teams to reduce COPQ.
• Lead RCCA with internal and supplier reps; apply Lean/QC tools as needed.
• Support QMS maintenance (AS9100/AS9102/AS9103, FAA/EASA/NADCAP).
