Job summary

KBR seeks a Quality Engineer for our Middletown, CT facility. The role spans from design through delivery, driving process improvements to meet contract objectives. You will interpret mil-specs, track NCs/MRBs, and lead CAPA actions while collaborating with multiple departments.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years QA experience (or 4–7 years with an AS degree), strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 regulations. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of quality assurance experience, or AS degree with 4–7 years in QA roles.
• Broad knowledge of quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 regulations.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and mil-specs per contract requirements.
• Monitor NCs and MRB status to meet milestones.
• Identify production problems related to NCs and develop corrective actions.
• Initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Lead quality issues and ensure effective CAPA processes.
• Participate in program reviews and quality metrics discussions.
• Support FAI inspection activities.
• Liaise between MRB and management to control cost and schedule.
• Develop and present training programs as needed.
• Follow standard department procedures.
