Job summary

Textron's Lycoming Engines is offering a 2027 Intern - Quality Engineer role in Williamsport, PA. The intern will support quality planning, requirements analysis, supplier interface, inspection planning, and process improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of statistics and how to apply it to engineering problems.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality planning activities: develop Quality Plan, QA Directive, Inspection Plan for projects.
• Review customer contracts: analyze requirements and define definitions.
• Interface with Supplier Quality Engineering to guide and support supplier issues.
• Apply inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
• Participate in process improvement via monitoring, root cause analysis, audits, and failure analysis.
• Contribute to design document reviews and help develop fabrication/build processes and standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to perform Quality Engineering functions.
