Kaney, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure dimensional accuracy, performance, and reliability of aerospace-grade ball screws and precision components. The role emphasizes hands-on inspection, in-machine measurements, and developing robust inspection plans within AS9100 frameworks.

The successful candidate will validate machining processes, analyze nonconformances, and work across manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to uphold flight-critical quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/precision machining.
• Strong metrology and GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision dimensional inspections of ball screws and related components using CMMs and micrometers.
• Conduct in-machine inspection and measurement with parts fixtured in CNC centers.
• Develop and maintain inspection and control plans and FAI documentation.
• Verify lead accuracy, pitch variation, straightness, runout, and surface finish characteristics.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to ensure tolerances and processes meet specs.
• Support RCCA/8D investigations and nonconformance remediation.
