Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure dimensional accuracy and reliability of aerospace-grade ball screws and precision-machined parts. You will perform in-machine inspections, develop inspection plans, and verify CP/Cpk metrics in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires hands-on metrology, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to uphold ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards for flight-critical actuation components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years aerospace quality experience.
• Proficient in dimensional metrology and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience evaluating customer quality requirements and supplier quality.
• Ability to review quotes and input quality requirements for contracts.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspections of ball screws and related components using CMMs and micrometers.
• Conduct in-machine inspection to validate tool offsets and machining accuracy.
• Develop and maintain inspection plans and FAI documentation.
• Verify lead accuracy, pitch variation, and surface finish of ball screws.
• Collaborate with machinists to ensure tolerances are met.
• Support RCCA/8D for nonconforming parts.
• Review work instructions and compliance with ISO9001/AS9100.
