Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge and understanding or experience with composites, machined components and assemblies.
  • Quality metrics development and analysis.
  • Contract/SOW generation & review.
  • Root Cause Analysis.
  • Corrective Action-Preventive Action Disciplines.
  • Cause and Effect Analysis experience.
  • Formal Auditor Training in ISO9000/AS9100.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Green Belt training/certification.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to lead medium to large, complex projects.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished material products.
  • Collaborates with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and contractual requirements are properly flowed down to suppliers.
  • Responsible for the implementation of methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment throughout the procurement process.
  • Audits processes, reviews build documentation, and performs physical walkdowns of hardware to verify conformance/compliance.
  • Responsible for the control and disposition of nonconforming products, Material Review Board, causal analysis & corrective action, corrective action effectiveness / reliability and documentation, design for manufacturability and inspection planning.
  • Collaborates on the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; supports quality assurance tests; and performs analysis to assess the cost of and determination of responsibility, for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Establishes, expands, and effectively communicates quality data collection and analysis to empower risk management, continuous improvement, and integrated project teams throughout the enterprise.
  • May specialize in supply chain management, design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, AS9100 auditing, customer engagement, and/or research and development.
