Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a quality engineer to develop and execute commercial quality processes for engine design, test, and manufacture. You will implement quality initiatives to support development and low-rate engine production, owning data-informed improvements.

The role requires passion for solving problems, ownership, and adaptability across applications and systems, with collaboration across manufacturing and test teams in a spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Quality experience in a production environment; aerospace preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality management systems.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and enforce quality system processes for development and production.
• Analyze data from manufacturing, test, and inspection to drive improvements.
• Review manufacturing build documents including work orders and NCRs.
• Use data analysis and AI tools to accelerate root cause analysis and reporting.
• Perform periodic audits of the quality system per AS9100.
• Collaborate with design reviews to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Provide QA domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Train internal and external customers on quality awareness.
