Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and execute quality processes for the design, test, and manufacture of engines. You will drive data-informed improvements, lead root cause analysis, and support manufacturing with quality expertise across programs.

Responsibilities include auditing quality systems, reviewing build docs, and collaborating with customers to resolve quality concerns while advancing safe, reliable spaceflight.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Quality experience in a production environment; aerospace preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance using data platforms and scripting languages (Python, SQL) to analyze large datasets and drive improvements.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Utilize data analysis techniques and AI-powered tools to accelerate root cause analysis and quality reporting.
• Perform periodic audits of the quality system under AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Recommend and implement initiatives to improve product and system quality.
• Provide QA domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for Manufacturing team.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers on quality concerns; develop training materials.
