Gore in the United States is seeking a Quality Engineer with manufacturing experience to join a growing cable assembly program for aerospace and defense. You will support APQP, FAI, and ongoing process improvements across the supply chain.

This role offers hybrid work with facilities in Elkton, MD or Newark, DE. Compensation ranges from $102,000 to $142,000 per year plus comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, or comparable technical degree.
• 5+ years in product, process, or manufacturing quality across lifecycle.
• Experience applying APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC in development.
• Knowledge of statistics for risk assessment and decisions (DOE, Gage R&R, SPC, 8D).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with verbal and written communication.
• Able to initiate, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment; travel up to 10%.

Aufgaben

• Assure product quality across the supply chain by evaluating non-conforming material and implementing changes.
• Partner with internal and external teams to understand fitness-for-use requirements and configurations.
• Facilitate risk assessments and ensure mitigation actions (e.g., FMEA) are implemented.
• Develop, validate, and maintain test methods, inspection processes, and sampling plans.
• Support risk-based quality planning and statistical decision-making.
• Provide input to statistical analyses to identify risks and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve quality issues and verify mitigations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using data and structured problem-solving in manufacturing and supplier processes.
• Communicate quality expectations and outcomes to stakeholders; document activities in the quality system.
