Job summary

KBR in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support NASA programs. You will help develop and implement mission assurance requirements across the life cycle, with emphasis on supplier surveillance, inspections, and conformance to contract requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 4–10+ years in quality engineering, and prior NASA or aerospace experience, plus hands-on lab and testing oversight, and familiarity with IPC/NASA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–10+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Previous NASA or aerospace industry experience.
• GMIPS for Electronic Boards and related workmanship checks.
• 100% solder joints tested prior to conformal coating.
• Final workmanship inspection before integration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flight hardware non-conformance actions are documented per QA system.
• Participate in MRRs and TRRs and review manufacturing flow plans.
• Review flight hardware records and verify labs carry required certifications.
• Monitor supplier quality and safety controls during fabrication and tests.
• Support root cause corrective actions and supplier data analysis.
