Job summary

KBR is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support aerospace flight parts, assemblies, and documentation, ensuring compliance with drawings and AS9100 standards. The role identifies defects, documents nonconformances, and ensures proper disposition of quality issues across production and maintenance teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of QA experience or a BS in engineering, with the ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and nonconformance processes preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming material, in-process assemblies, and finished aerospace products for conformity to requirements.
• Review drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and inspection records for accuracy and compliance.
• Use precision measurement tools and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and borescopes.
• Record inspection results, prepare nonconformance reports, and support corrective action activities.
• Verify that work complies with AS9100, and/or internal quality system requirements as applicable.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Support audits, quality checks, and process verification activities.
• Maintain traceability and proper documentation of inspection findings and product status.
• Assist with product and process qualification, inspection planning, and technical documentation review.
