Job summary

J&M Products, Inc. in California seeks a Quality Assurance specialist to ensure aerospace components meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.

You will review drawings, develop inspection plans, support RCCA/CAPA, and maintain the QMS in line with AS9100 and ISO 9001, while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to improve processes and drive KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• AS9100 environment experience preferred.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specs and customer requirements for compliance.
• Develop inspection plans, control plans and FAI documentation (AS9102).
• Perform RCCA and CAPA for nonconforming products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze inspection/test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead or participate in MRB activities and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Support production floor quality problem-solving and real-time issue resolution.
• Conduct internal process and product audits; maintain QMS per AS9100/ISO 9001.
• Develop/update quality procedures, work instructions and docs.
• Assist audits and act as audit contact; track KPIs (scrap, rework, yield, complaints).
