Job summary

Superior Aerospace Precision Machining seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure aerospace components meet stringent standards. You will program and operate PC-DMIS CMMs and inspect at all stages, interpreting drawings and GD&T to verify compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining the QA system, preparing FAI reports, reviewing supplier FAIs, and conducting internal and supplier audits. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or 12+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years of PC-DMIS programming and hands-on CMM operation.
• Strong metrology knowledge and ASME Y14.5 GD&T understanding.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate PC-DMIS CMMs and perform multiple inspection stages.
• Interpret 3D models, drawings, specs, and GD&T to verify compliance.
• Maintain and improve the quality management system and QA records.
• Prepare First Article Inspection reports and review supplier FAIs.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits and provide quality feedback.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; travel up to ~20%.
• Oversee inspectors temporarily as needed.
