Job summary

RTX's North Berwick, Maine facility is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure aftermarket operations meet quality and regulatory standards. You will mentor a team, review QA documents, and work with engineering and customer support to resolve issues.

The role is onsite with potential overtime and FAA safety requirements; training and career growth opportunities are available. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defense or other heavily-regulated industry.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or specialized technical or military training with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into root causes of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine corrective actions.
• Review and approve FAI’s, Service Masters, and Work Instructions.
• Interface with Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training to inspectors; coordinate with off-shift supervision to prevent quality stops.
• Create and maintain QA documentation in SAP; interface with regulatory agencies and external vendors as needed.
• Support ACE/CORE/quality improvement initiatives and Lean activities.
