Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to design, build, and lead a unified Quality Management System across all company locations. This foundational role will harmonize site-specific practices into one audit-ready program and guide the organization toward AS9100/ISO 9001 certification.

The ideal candidate has led initial QMS builds in regulated manufacturing, can manage multi-site standardization, and communicate effectively with executives while traveling between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aviation/Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years quality/compliance experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Direct experience leading or enabling initial AS9100 or ISO 9001 certification.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, internal auditing).
• Demonstrated ability to standardize processes across multiple locations or business units.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end effort to bring company to high compliance level across sites.
• Design a unified Quality Management System deployable across all sites.
• Develop certification roadmap, timeline, and milestones; report to executives.
• Conduct gap analyses against AS9100/ISO 9001 and prioritize remediation.
• Audit across sites; manage CAPA to closure and track findings.
• Serve as primary contact for external certification body during audits.
• Own nonconformance and CAPA process; drive root-cause analysis.
• Develop and deliver Compliance/QMS training to employees.
• Support supplier quality and customer quality audits as needed.
