Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Frederick, MD, seeks a QA Lead to supervise and coordinate daily inspection activities, coaching inspectors, and maintaining rigorous traceability.

You will ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 and aerospace standards, manage nonconforming material, drive root-cause analyses with Quality Engineering, and produce weekly reports for leadership.

Collaborating with production and engineering, you will drive process improvements to raise accuracy and overall quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the inspection team
• Lead and coach inspectors: train and mentor, monitor performance, and develop capabilities
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards and legal/safety requirements
• Manage inspection records and metrics: document deviations, corrective actions and maintain accurate traceability
• Handle nonconforming material promptly and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions with Quality Engineering
• Produce weekly inspection reports highlighting findings, trends, and improvement opportunities to support decision-making
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality performance
