The Internal QMS Auditor & Quality Specialist role at Aleron in Bertram, TX is a contract position (6 months) focused on maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and performing internal audits to ensure AS9100 compliance.

Collaborate with the quality team to update SOPs, support production scaling, and drive proactive prevention across engineering, manufacturing, and operations, while preparing for external surveillance and recertification audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 2+ years of AS9100 experience and effective quality controls.
• 2+ years of quality auditor experience (ASQ CQA) in aerospace.
• 2+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of quality assurance experience within aerospace/defense/space.

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule, and execute regular internal quality audits.
• Draft, review, update SOPs and work instructions to support production scaling.
• Assist in adopting production-level quality controls, including first article inspections (AS9102).
• Investigate non-conformances, perform root-cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
• Champion proactive quality culture across cross-functional teams.
• Prepare documentation for external surveillance and recertification audits.
