Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a QC Inspector – Visual Inspector to assess aerospace components for cosmetic and dimensional conformance. You will use calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment to verify drawings and specifications and document results for quality investigations.

Requirements include 1+ year of inspection experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficient English communication. This on-site role supports a 3rd shift with a $3.00 differential and safety-focused work practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of quality inspection, manufacturing, aerospace, or related experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cosmetic and dimensional defects.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyze inspection results, solve problems, and make sound quality decisions.
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of parts and materials for cosmetic and dimensional conformance.
• Inspect components for damage, burrs, raised material, nicks, scratches, and assembly defects.
• Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, plug gages, and thread gages.
• Operate inspection equipment such as optical comparators, height gages, transfer stands, and dial indicators.
• Set up and operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) in manual mode.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection requirements.
• Document inspection results and support quality investigations as needed.
• Identify and communicate nonconforming conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
