Job summary

JGA Space & Defense in Huntersville, NC seeks a Quality Control Technician II to perform dimensional inspection for incoming, in-process, and finished parts. You will operate CMM equipment, interpret inspection programs, and ensure conformance to drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities include reading GD&T, selecting appropriate measuring tools, recording results, and maintaining traceability and documentation within JGA's Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of quality inspection or related precision manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency operating CMM equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T).
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Experience within a controlled Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured and purchased components.
• Set up and operate CMM equipment using established inspection programs.
• Review and interpret CMM measurement data and identify results that do not meet tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Select and properly use appropriate precision measurement equipment based on the feature and tolerance.
• Record, review, and maintain accurate inspection and measurement results.
• Verify incoming material and product against purchase orders, drawings, specifications, certifications, and applicable quality requirements.
• Conduct final inspection to verify products meet drawing, specifications, documentation, and customer requirements.
