Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bellevue, IA is seeking a dynamic Manager, Quality Assurance to lead a team of quality engineers and technicians at our state-of-the-art manufacturing site. You will shape QA strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Quality, you will champion quality initiatives, oversee data analysis, reduce SRR costs, and coordinate across Avionics locations to ensure mission-ready products.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Technicians.
• Oversee a people leader of Certified Inspectors.
• Collaborate across Avionics locations to ensure effective decision-making.
• Apply the CORE operating system to daily practices within the Quality team and Operations.
• Develop and lead the implementation of organizational projects to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Drive quality improvement processes to reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair costs.
• Collect and analyze quality data to develop long-term strategies.
• Conduct production process analyses to ensure standards are met and suggest improvements.
• Establish and coordinate quality policies and practices.
• Recruit, retain, and develop talent within the Quality team.
• Incorporate lessons learned and industry best practices into quality initiatives.
