Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of QA management experience in an aerospace/military industry.
• 5+ years in AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards.
• Certified AS9100 auditor, lead auditor preferred.
• Knowledge of J-STD-001 Space Addendum.
• NASA 8739.1 and NAS 8739.3 knowledge/certification.
• Experience with EE and Mechanical Drawings/Schematics.
• Strong communication skills; ability to present to customers.
• Self-starter with process-improvement mindset.
• ERP systems knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as QA representative for CDRs, MRRs, TRRs, and PSRs with customers.
• Review new customer proposals and contract requirements for compliance.
• Own and evolve the quality management system to meet product needs.
• Collaborate with parts engineering as GIDEP representative and report usage/impact.
• Lead internal audit team as AS9100 MR and lead auditor; support audits.
• Create/approve methods for fabricating, inspecting and testing aerospace products.
• Analyze quality data to determine root cause; drive corrective actions.
• Lead non-conformance and failure investigations with relevant teams.
• Communicate failures and waivers to the customer with project management.
• Ensure quality standards meet AS9100/ISO9001; drive preventive actions.
• Support quality metrics, CA/CEA analysis, and customer interfaces.
• Coordinate with purchasing to flow down quality requirements.
