Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a QA Inspector to verify finished products against engineering drawings and specs. You will perform visual and measurement tests, document results, and participate in rework as needed to ensure aircraft component quality.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts using GD&T, maintaining inspection logs, and adhering to QA procedures and safety regulations in a DoD contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Reasonably good manual dexterity.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach and lift 40 lbs. minimum repetitively.
• Must be able to withstand repetitive contact with water and moisture.
• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to understand Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Ability to understand basic mathematical methods.
• As a Department of Defense Contractor we are required to hire US Persons.
• Visa sponsorship is not being offered.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Inspected aircraft components to assure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and general aircraft standards.
• Maintains inspection logs and writes inspection reports.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
