Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Purchasing Agent in Harbor City, CA. The role sources, negotiates, and buys aerospace materials and services, ensuring quality, compliance, and on-time delivery to support production.

The ideal candidate will have aerospace procurement experience, supplier management skills, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems along with strong negotiation and analytical abilities. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or regulated environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience as Purchasing Agent, Buyer, or similar role in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and supplier requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP for purchasing and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Purchase aerospace components, raw materials, tooling, and supplies per requirements.
• Review requisitions, BOMs, and production schedules to determine needs.
• Source and manage supplier relationships to secure favorable terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with accurate pricing and delivery dates.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor open POs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Verify supplier compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain purchasing records, certificates of conformity, and traceability.
