Job summary

The Public Health Technician / Epidemiologist role at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio requires epidemiologic expertise to support health surveillance, research studies, and data-driven analyses affecting Air Force personnel readiness and health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of public health, community health, aerospace medicine, healthcare, or related environment.
• Minimum of five (5) years of epidemiology experience in a healthcare or military setting.
• Experience designing, conducting, and leading epidemiological analyses using health surveillance data, medical records, and other datasets.
• Experience developing, administering, and analyzing surveys for research or public health initiatives.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as Tableau, Python, R, SAS Viya, Qualtrics.
• Strong technical writing, literature review, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct epidemiologic studies.
• Analyze health surveillance, medical, personnel, and operational datasets.
• Develop reports, technical papers, presentations, and scientific products.
• Support research protocols and investigations; collect and manage data from multiple systems.
• Collaborate with military, civilian, and academic stakeholders; disseminate findings through conferences and publications.
