Job summary

Bestica is hiring a Public Health Technician/Epidemiologist to support USAF Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on epidemiology, data analysis, and operational health surveillance within the FESS branch, delivering timely reports and research support.

The position requires a master’s in public health with 5+ years in public health or aerospace medicine, plus experience with survey design, data analytics, and English communication. It is a full-time, on-site role at Wright Patterson AFB.

Qualifications

• Master's in public health or related field with 5+ years of public health or aerospace medicine experience.
• Experience designing, administering and analyzing surveys for research/occupational health questions.
• Minimum 5 years of epidemiology experience in healthcare or military environment.
• Ability to design, conduct and lead data analyses of health surveillance data and military records.

Responsibilities

• Provide epidemiological expertise for the Operational Consultation Support team and USAFSAM Studies and Analysis.
• Produce timely routine and ad hoc reports and support study protocols and data analyses.
• Lead data analysis of health surveillance data and military health records for readiness and risk assessment.
• Support conferences, posters, and publication activities; transfer knowledge to USAF and Air Force stakeholders.
• Obtain data access permissions and coordinate with data owners.
