Equiliem seeks a Project Engineer - Aerospace in Elkton, MD to support design, development, analysis, and testing of SRM propulsion systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability, focusing on hands-on engineering rather than admin tasks.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, a STEM degree, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in design, development, or analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Experience applying engineering principles to technical design/analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Elkton, MD on the 9/80 schedule.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet milestones and technical requirements.
• Interpret system requirements and performance expectations with stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering design, optimization, and analysis activities for program needs.
• Design solid rocket motor components with emphasis on performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Perform engineering calculations related to propulsion component sizing and performance.
• Apply engineering principles and standards to propulsion system development.
• Create and maintain detailed drawings and documentation for fabrication and manufacturing.
• Support analyses, design reviews, testing, and validation activities.
• Resolve technical challenges with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Apply CAD and PLM tools to support design and product development.
• Communicate findings and project progress to stakeholders.
