Overview

Technical Recruiter at netPolarity, a Saicon Consultants, Inc. division. Job title: Responsible Engineer Authority – Level 4 or Level 5. Clearance required: Secret Clearance (or willingness to obtain). Duration: 1 year (with potential for direct hire).

Job Summary:

Aerojet Rocketdyne is hiring experienced project engineers to join our Camden, AR Production Facility in support of eight critical defense programs. These positions require high-level engineers to serve as Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs), with full knowledge of design and performance to assess and resolve production non-conformances. You will work with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure technical integrity and continuous improvement in production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Support a team of engineers, growing from 3 to 10 members
  • Support custom rocket projects and manage up to 130 people (direct or dotted-line influence)
  • Perform in a heavy floor-facing role with real-time troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Act as Responsible Engineering Authority (Level 4 or Level 5) with rocket-specific experience
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Responsible Engineering Authority (MRB lead)
  • Work on custom manufacturing with high-risk, detail-sensitive work and no manuals
Must-Have Technical Skills
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Six Sigma tools (Green/Black Belt experience or equivalent)
  • MRB experience (aerospace-related)
  • Casting aluminum
  • Adhesives
  • Composites
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
  • Chemical systems
  • Ultrasonic inspection
  • Understanding and sourcing tools/systems for novel problems
  • Familiar with production/floor-based engineering
Required Analytical/Soft Skills
  • Mastery of Excel – pivot tables, plotting, formulas, statistical analysis
  • Technical reporting – ability to author clear, concise reports
  • Comfortable presenting to large technical teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for floor interaction
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Background in project, materials, process, or test engineering
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Knowledge of rocket propulsion systems and military hardware production
  • GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, MRL processes, and CAM tools
