Job summary

Acro Service Corp seeks an experienced Engineer Aeronautical 3 to contribute as a project engineer on solid rocket motors programs in Elkton, Maryland. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and driving design from concept through validation.

The candidate should bring a STEM degree with relevant experience, readiness to engage with customers, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Masters degree with 3 years experience or PhD with 1 year experience also considered.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet program milestones and customer expectations.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and design drivers.
• Coordinate a multi-disciplinary strategy for design, optimization, and analysis to meet mission requirements.
• Design SRM assemblies / components with a focus on safety and program requirements.
• Complete high-level performance and sizing calculations on SRM components and assemblies.
• Apply engineering principles, industry and company standards, and customer requirements to develop solid-propellant propulsion systems for launch vehicles, missile systems, and/or space missions.
• Produce detailed drawings for component fabrication.
• Support analysis & testing activities needed to validate designs.

Job description

We are in need of an experienced technical professionals to work at its Elkton, Maryland facility. The position will be contracted as an Engineer Aeronautical 3 working on as a project engineer on solid rocket motors programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet program milestones and customer expectations
• Work with customers to understand requirements and design drivers
