Job summary

Ascent Aerospace seeks a Proposals & Process Engineer to lead technical development for aerospace tooling, automation, and production-system opportunities. You will partner with Sales and Account Management to translate customer requirements into executable, competitively priced solutions.

The role coordinates Engineering, Estimating, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to develop the technical scope, tooling concepts, assumptions, schedules, and proposal documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology, or equivalent work history.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven application engineering or proposal development with a demonstrated competence in aerospace, tooling, and/or automated solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with customer interaction and interface.
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate technical information.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical customer-facing representative, coordinating with Sales to define deliverables for the proposal.
• Act as an extension of the customer's manufacturing engineering team to understand needs.
• Challenge the customer to evaluate and select optimal assembly process solutions.
• Provide clear, timely communication between customer and Ascent teams on scope, deliverables and timelines.
• Understand and apply tolerances, GD&T, and other design considerations in manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with the team to create and refine the technical offer aligned with customer expectations.
