Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS, is seeking an experienced project manager focused on safety, manufacturing, and complex program execution.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and deliverables, and drive issue resolution to meet productivity and quality goals. The role requires leadership across multiple projects, strong communication with executive stakeholders, and a track record of delivering results in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety, manufacturing, or project management environments.
• Proven experience leading projects from initiation through execution and closeout.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and Operations leadership.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
• Assesses production issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, customer and other stakeholders.
• Assist in training/ mentoring/ developing Team members as well as suggest new strategies or concepts.
• Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously (coordination,status, and performance to plan).
• Cross-functional coordination and leadership to achieve project goals.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
• Demonstrated ability to foster business partnerships with internal customers and functional organizations.
• Business Acumen, Managing with Influence, Interpersonal relationships and communication.
