Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, a Boeing company, is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to lead planning and execution of site facilities initiatives at the Wichita campus. You’ll manage a cross-functional team, coordinate with operations, engineering, and Real Estate, and drive capital projects from scope through delivery.

The role emphasizes strategic facility planning, risk management, and continuous improvement to support production growth and efficient operations, with a mix of office and field time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing people, teams, or cross-functional projects.
• 7+ years of overall facilities management experience.
• Experience leading and developing team members in a professional environment.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Experience presenting project updates and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead production facility layout planning, site seating strategy, and infrastructure planning to support operational and production needs.
• Manage and develop a team responsible for facilities planning and coordination activities.
• Oversee capital expenditure planning, project tracking, and reporting for facilities-related initiatives.
• Serve as the focal point supporting Boeing Wichita integration efforts for Global Real Estate and Facilities workstreams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, and Facilities to support site planning and operational initiatives.
• Provide leadership and direction for facility-related projects to ensure alignment with business priorities and operational requirements.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities for facility improvements that increase operational efficiency and support production growth.
• Support long-term facility planning initiatives and campus space utilization strategies.
