Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Project Engineer for the Controls team within Advanced Engines in Huntsville. You will own the integrated engineering schedule, drive daily operational cadence, and coordinate hardware-software integration across multiple disciplines to ensure timely delivery from development to testing and production.

You will manage gate reviews (PDR/CDR/TR/ORR), coordinate procurement milestones with Global Supply Chain, and maintain risk and configuration baselines.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years delivering complex hardware/software projects.
• Proven track record managing schedules, risk mitigation, and multi-disciplinary milestones.
• Experience running daily standups, technical syncs, and blockers resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the Integrated Master Schedule across software sprints, PLC releases, and test activations.
• Run daily standups and engineering cadences to remove blockers and sustain velocity.
• Lead cross-discipline integration between Controls and Mechanical/Thermal/Fluid teams.
• Coordinate gate reviews (PDR/CDR/TR/ORR) and ensure baselines are met.
• Translate schedules into long-lead procurement triggers with Global Supply Chain.
• Maintain risk/opportunity register and enforce change-management across baselines.
• Support Branch Lead with resource planning and status reporting.
