Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an experienced engineering project leader for its Elyria, OH Aerospace facility. You will guide major projects, lead technical teams, and ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met in safety-critical aerospace environments.

The role requires strong expertise in electrical design, power electronics, and embedded systems, with DO-178/DO-254 familiarity and a focus on engineering excellence and customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of related experience in engineering project leadership.
• Experience in electrical engineering design for aerospace environments.
• Strong background in power electronics, motor control, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with DO-178 and DO-254 safety-critical development processes.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, documentation, and regulatory practices.
• Excellent communication of technical status to customers and stakeholders.
• Effective project management skills and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Leads technical projects or phases, managing scope, cost, and schedule.
• Develops project plans, milestones, and staffing; coordinates resources.
• Maintains customer interface to present status and negotiate changes.
• Controls costs and schedule, oversees quotes and expenditures.
• Prepares technical work and ensures engineering standards and documentation.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory considerations and IP protection.
• Mentors team members and participates in lean initiatives.
• Acts as point of contact for technical and project matters.
• Supports high-performance teamwork and continuous improvement.
