Job summary

Requirements include a BS in engineering or science, 7–9 years’ related experience, and familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 and EVM principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a science technical discipline; MS or MBA preferred.
• 7-9 years of related experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering design and development with brushless DC motor controllers in aerospace or high-reliability environments.
• Background in power electronics, motor control, embedded systems, circuit design, system integration, and verification.
• Familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 and safety-critical development processes.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and regulatory practices.
• Strong communication to present status and recommendations clearly.
• Effective project management and organizational skills; mentoring capabilities.
• Participation in high-performance teams and lean initiatives.
• Ability to apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops objectives and ensures schedule, cost, and technical goals are met.
• Plans milestones by studying design requirements and preparing cost estimates.
• Assigns staffing and resources to project phases and tasks.
• Maintains customer interfaces to present status and adapt to changes.
• Controls plans, costs, and changes; may manage outsourced contractors.
• Prepares technical project work and addresses regulatory considerations.
• Maintains engineering standards and documentation archives.
• Keeps knowledge up to date via workshops and publications.
• Acts as contact on technical matters and mentors others.
• Participates in high-performance teams and lean initiatives.
