Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Wilsonville, Oregon, seeks a Program Manager to lead complex aerospace and defense programs from development through production, driving cost, schedule, technical, quality, and customer objectives. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience; a DoD Secret security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain one.

The position offers a salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 annually and comprehensive

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in aerospace/defense or complex technical programs.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leads programs through planning, development, production, and delivery.
• Owns performance against cost, schedule, technical, quality, and contractual objectives.
• Develops integrated plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resources, and metrics.
• Coordinates execution across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and contracts.
• Serves as primary interface for customers, prime contractors, and government stakeholders.
• Identifies risks and drives mitigation and recovery actions.
• Leads program reviews and communicates performance and decisions.
• Supports design reviews, tests, and customer acceptance events.
• Manages statements of work, changes, and scope adjustments.
• Supports proposals, estimates, negotiations, and follow-on opportunities.
