Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned suppliers with annual spend >$4.5M.
  • Monitor and act on MRP exception messages (reschedules, shortages, pull forward).
  • Own shortage management and identify risks early.
  • Ensure on-time delivery via expediting and weekly supplier reviews.
  • Provide quarterly forecasts to suppliers.
  • Participate in LeanDNA Portal and Supplier Portal.
  • Track open orders and maintain ERP data accuracy.
  • Escalate supply risks with financial, capacity, or pricing issues.
  • Coordinate with engineering on deviations, non-conformances, and RMAs.
  • Follow up on supplier corrective actions for missed paperwork.
  • Control expedited costs and NRE costs related to execution.
  • Participate in QRQC/Tier meetings.
  • Support KPIs: OTD, shortages, backlog.
  • Escalate pricing issues with purchasing to resolution.
  • Comply with HSE and 6S site requirements.

Job description

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers to ensure material availability and support operational continuity through proactive shortage management, cross-functional coordination, and supplier performance recovery. Leveraging Lean DNA, the position enables a data-driven approach to prioritizing and resolving supply chain risks. The role maintains strong control over execution-related cost. This position ensures disciplined execution and continuous improvement across the supply chain. Ultimately, enables prioritization of critical actions, and supports a shift from reactive issue management to proactive, performance-driven supply chain operations.

  • Manage assigned suppliers in excess of $4.5M yearly spend
  • Monitor and manage MRP exception messages (reschedules, cancellations, shortages, pull forward) and action them
  • Own shortage management:
    • Identify risks early
  • Ensure on time delivery of parts ordered, via expediting and weekly delivery reviews with suppliers
  • Provide forecasts quarterly to suppliers
  • Actively participate within LeanDNA Portal and the Supplier Portal
  • Track open orders and maintain ERP data accuracy
  • Escalate supply risks appropriately that are identified with a supplier; financial, capacity, pricing
  • Coordinate with engineering on:
    • Deviations and concessions
    • Non-conformances
    • RMAs
  • Supplier corrective action follow-up for shipments missing critical paperwork
  • Control and challenge:
    • Expedite costs
    • NRE costs (execution, not negotiation ownership)
  • Participate actively in QRQC / Tier meetings
  • Support and drive functional KPIs (OTD, shortages, backlog)
  • Ensure pricing issues are escalated and kept on track for resolution with the purchasing team
  • Compliance with all HSE and 6S Site requirements
Job Requirements
Education and Desired Skills
  • BA/BS College Degree or High School graduate with 5+ years of Supply Chain experience.
  • ERP/MRP system proficiency (SAP or equivalent)
  • Ability to interpret system signals and prioritize work
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Supply chain flows
    • Production impact of shortages
  • Strong communication and follow-up discipline
  • Structured, detail-oriented execution
