Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, a The Boeing Company subsidiary, seeks an operation process expert to guide build plans and implement industry best practices within the Spirit Commercial units.

With 5+ years in manufacturing and Sheet Metal assembly, you will develop labor hour estimates for bids, provide production engineering expertise, and lead cross-functional projects in a union environment. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing support.
• High level of understanding in manufacturing of Sheet Metal assembly.
• MS Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Active listener and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the build plan including methods, sequence of steps, and tool plans.
• Implement industry best practices within operations.
• Develop labor hour estimates and tooling/build concepts for new bid proposals.
• Provide expertise in production engineering disciplines.
• Lead and participate in long-range technical research on proposed projects.
