Job summary

AAR Corp, a global aerospace and defense aftermarket solutions company, is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain aircraft maintenance plans that align customer requirements with labor, materials, and capacity. You will liaise across Production, Maintenance, Materials, Engineering, and Quality to keep work scoped, scheduled, and delivered on time.

The role emphasizes strong planning, Excel proficiency, and ability to interpret technical data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of related MRO or military aircraft maintenance experience.
• Advanced working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas.
• Ability to read and apply technical maintenance documentation such as service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
• Strong planning, organization, analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work across Production and support functions.
• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
• ERJ-175 or regional airline maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a planning liaison for customer aircraft maintenance projects, clarifying requirements, priorities, schedule expectations, and changes.
• Review and interpret customer work scopes, maintenance documents, service bulletins, and directives to identify planning requirements.
• Evaluate work requirements and support labor, material, and schedule estimates for bids and changes.
• Develop and maintain integrated maintenance schedules based on availability and capacity.
• Prepare and revise maintenance work packages for clear execution by teams.
• Monitor progress, communicate risks and status to stakeholders.
• Forecast material needs to maintain inventory levels and program efficiency.
• Maintain planning records and participate in continuous-improvement efforts.
