Job summary

Hera Technologies in Ontario, CA, is seeking two production planners to translate demand signals into executable schedules within a high-mix, low-volume aerospace environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 2–5 years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense preferred)
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling principles (JobBoss, Epicor, Oracle, SAP)
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving
• Effective cross-functional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned to the master production plan
• Release and manage work orders for machining, fabrication, and assembly
• Monitor daily production and adjust schedules for delays or priority changes
• Ensure alignment between schedules and material availability
• Translate orders/forecasts into executable work orders
• Identify risks and escalate issues to support on-time delivery
• Update order statuses within ERP/MRP systems
• Analyze work center loads and identify bottlenecks
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve constraints
• Recommend schedule adjustments to optimize throughput
• Coordinate with Purchasing to track material shortages
• Communicate changes to internal stakeholders
• Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP (BOMs, routings, lead times)
• Support planning process improvements and KPI attainment
• Participate in daily planning cadences and capacity reviews
