Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Production Planner for an on-site role in Stafford, VA. The ideal candidate will translate customer demand, materials, ERP data, and capacity into executable schedules, partnering with manufacturing, procurement, inventory, engineering and quality to boost readiness and on-time delivery.

Requirements include 2+ years in production planning, advanced Excel, ERP/MRP experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. U.S.

Qualifications

2+ years of production planning, MRP, and scheduling in an assembly-line operation.
Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
ERP experience with MRP and production scheduling.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (not IT).
Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace/defense, med dev or automotive manufacturing.
Familiar with Power BI.
U.S. citizen or Green Card holder able to obtain clearance after hire.

Responsibilities

Own production schedules aligned with customer orders, forecasts, inventory, material readiness and capacity.
Prepare dashboards and reports for production planning, capacity, procurement, and inventory decisions.
Create, release, maintain, and monitor ERP manufacturing work orders and schedule attainment.
Identify material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with Procurement, Inventory, Production, Engineering, and Quality.
Maintain BOMs, routings, and planning parameters; monitor consumption, output, and order performance.
Resolve cross-functional scheduling and production issues while adhering to procedures.
