Job summary

Sonaca North America in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Manager – Production to lead a performance-driven manufacturing team in aerospace. You will drive yield, uptime, throughput, and safety training while developing employees and sustaining high quality and on-time delivery.

This role directs planning, scheduling, and supervision of production and support staff, emphasizes lean methods, cost control, and continuous improvement, and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5 – 8 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/processing plant
• Experience with lean manufacturing
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one from groups or individuals
• Ability to solve practical problems, utilizing standard operating procedures.
• Ability to interpret information furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form, to determine the best course of action among various alternatives.
• Aerospace industry knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviews production orders and schedules to plan department operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for processing parts.
• Oversees development of work teams for achieving company goals.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates processing activities.
• Reviews production and operating reports to ensure costs are controlled and delays are prevented.
• Directs efforts to measure productivity and identify cost reductions.
• Implements and updates standard operating procedures to ensure quality.
• Leads coaching, training and development of production staff.
• Promotes continuous improvement and safe working practices.
• Supervises production and support supervisors and assigns work.
