Job summary

JM Fabrication Company, LLC in Arlington, TX is seeking a Production Manager to own the shop floor from release to ship across all processes. This hands-on leadership role requires ensuring on-time delivery, accurate quantities, and meeting customer and contract dates in a high-mix aerospace environment.

The role demands 5+ years in complex manufacturing, AS9100 experience, and strong ERP/MRP scheduling skills with ProShop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing or supervising production in a complex, multi-process manufacturing environment.
• AS9100 aerospace/defense experience.
• Reads engineering drawings and GD&T; understands routings, setups, sheet metal, welding and finishing specifications.
• ERP/MRP scheduling experience; ProShop a strong plus; advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented; tracks every job, quantity, and date.
• Leads people, runs a schedule, and delivers on time under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication with leadership and shop floor.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62).

Responsibilities

• Own the master production schedule across fabrication, machining, welding, paint/finishing and assembly.
• Review open jobs daily to identify bottlenecks and drive constraints to closure with engineering, quality, purchasing and outside processors.
• Build and maintain production reports from ProShop ERP and present them to the General Manager and executive leadership.
• Keep ProShop work orders, routings, quantities, and job status accurate in real time.
• Lead shop leads and operators; set daily priorities and balance labor and machine capacity.
• Coordinate material and outside processing to avoid delays.
• Lead recovery plans and on-time delivery improvements for major aerospace primes.
• Support AS9100 audits and ensure quality flow-down requirements are met.
• Enforce ITAR and controlled-information handling on the shop floor.
• Drive continuous improvement in throughput, setup time, scrap and rework.
